Last Thursday, under pouring rain we went to the Dim presentation in the suite of Elle Decor at Palais de Chaillot. I was totally drenched upon arrival!! A few bubbles in a glass of champagne and things were looking up! The Elle Decor suite is located on the last floor of the Palais de Chaillot and it’s the place to visit right now. This year it’s Jean Paul Gaultier who masterminded the look with his emblematic stripes and it’s really worth the detour!! Come take a dive in this giant sailor venue…

“First of all the navy touch”
The navy stripe unfolds and is deformed on the walls, then is transformed into a draping and wraps around furniture, it’s a small « navy morphing » salon that erases itself into the white of the canvas.”

“Then, the green note. Nature opens its doors !
Vegetation invites itself inside, a big garden! Clinging vine is embroidered on a sofa, lichen eats up braided chairs under the shade of a tree, moss similar to a forest green velvet covers stone, plants cascade down and are camouflaged in a net.”

The fabric unrolls on the walls of the room and onto the powdery ceiling.
